Using the VMware virtualization technology is possible to integrate windows software in the GRID CERN middleware platform (based on a specific Linux distribution). The powerpoint presentation shows some basic examples of the VIX API technology power to bind linux shell scripts to windows software in an heterogeneous Linux-Windows computing environment.
