Virtualization and Enterprise Configuration Policy CompliancePresenter:
ConfiguresoftVirtualization holds the promise of better IT asset utilization, more agile IT asset allocation, and a more secure and consolidated IT infrastructure. Virtualization will also introduce new considerations into IT configuration policy compliance efforts. In addition to existing assessment, mitigation and remediation efforts, virtualization requires additional awareness of unique asset relationships, configuration constraints and infrastructural coupling.
Recent guidance from VMware, DISA and Gartner provide starting points for addressing virtualization configuration within configuration policy and assessment efforts. Configuration discovery, dependency analysis and behavioral correlation will be addressed as a basis for establishing configuration intelligence for virtualized assets.
This session will present both strategies and guidance for leveraging the benefits of virtualization, while ensuring efficient and effective configuration compliance in the enterprise.
