Executing Enterprise Virtualization - Continuing Case Study with USMC

Session Abstract:

Identify, define, and describe the capabilities, processes, procedures, and supporting skill sets required to DELIVER on an enterprise virtualization strategy. The example use case will be MARCENT (Marine Forces Central Command, Tampa, FL). MARCENT virtualized their infrastructure late in 2007, they have standardized their environment in 2008, and are now kicking off a VDI (Vmware View) pilot. MARCENT is a great example of how the USMC has institutionalized the "assess, plan/design/build, transition, evaluate" lifecycle.
