Accelerating Large Scale Migration - Best Practices, Tools, and Processes to Address People and Process Challenges

Many enterprises start out on the path of virtualization because they see the dramatic savings possible but end up getting stalled for one reason or another. Based on real world experience, the major challenges to large scale virtualization, and the savings provided therewith,
turn out to be much less about technology than about people and process. What is needed is a
codified set of best practices, methodologies, and tools that enable enterprises to overcome the
procedural obstacles to unlocking the value of virtualization rapidly, cost-effectively, and as
non-disruptively as possible. In this session, we will explore specific, proven techniques and best
practices used in customer case studies, to dramatically accelerate large scale migration through an end-to-end methodology. We will also present a demonstration of a set of migration tools that overcome these challenges by providing centralized coordination, automation, and reporting.
